The Weather

The universal subject of conversation that transcends all differences in culture and language.

At The Dundonnell Hotel, we appreciate the effect that the weather can have on your enjoyment of your stay with us and your experience in our country.

We may be slightly biased in thinking that our surrounding scenery is equally majestic whether sitting in the beer garden with a cool glass seeing the Loch like glass and seagulls or birds of prey wheeling and searching for an updraught from the heated landscape or from the comfort of the lounge with a roaring log fire, watching the hills clad in smoky cloud with spindrift chasing rainbows up the Loch or warmly clad and tramping through frost with the hills topped with snow and a warm meal waiting at the end of our walk.  There are those who would say that in order to fully appreciate this countryside it is necessary to see it in all it's many different moods.  While our attempts to influence future conditions have met so far with limited success, we can perhaps give you some idea of what to expect.
