Dundonnell has the advantage of a fine location – it shelters beneath the massive mountain range of An Teallach and has superb views down Little Loch Broom and provides an ideal base from which to explore. Wester Ross is one of the finest holiday areas in Scotland – even a short visit will reveal its many different and beautiful faces.

Easy walks along the shores of Loch Broom begin at the entrance to the Hotel and for the more adventurous and fitter walker , there is a steep climb up An Teallach and any of the other 21 Munros in the vicinity.

All around spectacular mountains sweep down to a rugged coastline complete with cliff top walks, fishing villages and sandy beaches.
In forests, waterfalls cascade through deep gorges on the way to the sea and around the lochs sea birds , seals and the occasional otter can be seen.
The world famous Inverewe Garden has a host of sub-tropical plants and shrubs that thrive alongside the palm trees and bamboo. They are well worth a visit ant any time of the year.

As well as enjoying the scenery there are a variety of outdoor pursuits – bird watching, fishing, photography to name but a few. The fishing village of Ullapool is just half an hours drive away and here you will find a golf course, boat trips, museum and gift shops amongst the many attractions available. Take your time and enjoy it all …… even if you can't do it all today ….there's always tomorrow……..or another holiday next year!
